Norman Douglas DUVALL

May 28, 1940 – August 1, 2021

After a brief illness we are beyond heartbroken to announce the passing of a dear brother, uncle and friend. Survived by his brother Martin. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Jenny, his siblings Francis, James, Kenneth, Harold, Joseph, Agnes and Jean. Also predeceased by is fur baby Dora.

Thanks and gratitude to his special friend Lisa who was his guardian angel in disguise. Lisa took time away from her family to take Norm to all his appointments, grocery shopping, or out to lunch; and visited him daily while he was in hospital and hospice. She was an advocate and watchdog with his health, and his guide through many things. From the bottom of our hearts Lisa, thank you.

Thank you Sheri for your help while he was at home. Thank you to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their compassion, kindness and dignity you showed Norm during his time with you. Norm was a 70 year resident of the North End and truly loved his neighbourhood. During the nice weather, you would find him sitting on his veranda, chatting to anyone who would pass by (a regular social butterfly) helping neighbours if they were away by retrieving mail, weeding and doing their garbage. He had many memories of growing up there, and we always enjoyed hearing those stories of his youth. I don’t think there was a person he didn’t know.

In memoriam donations to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, 277 Stonechurch Rd. E. Hamilton would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Bay Gardens Funeral Home.
