Rev. Stanley Albert WOOTTON

Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at his Mini Lakes residence on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the age of 91.

Beloved husband of the late Nancy Wootton. Loved father of Elizabeth Bowers (Ron), Jennifer Long (Chris), Richard Wootton (Anita), Heather Wootton (Craig Elias) and Jamie Wootton (Daina). Uncle to nieces Sheila McLaren (Neil), Lynn Judd (Bill), Dorothy Kraglund (Eric) and Kathryn Dertinger (Tom) and nephews Jim Griffith (Judy), Mike Ireson (Christina), Pete Ireson (Cheryl) and Steve Ireson (Chris). Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Jonathan, Erin, Shannon, Heather, Ryan, Adam, Emma, Liam, Ashley and Connor, and great grandfather of Noah, Emily, Jillian, Sebastian and Elizabeth. Great uncle to many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Marnie Ireson.

As a minister in the United Church of Canada, Stan served congregations in Alberta, Quebec and Ontario, and currently was providing pastoral care at Dublin Street United Church in Guelph.

Stan’s joys were his family and friends, his cottage on Otter Lake, stimulating discussions and oil painting. Time with Stan was an invitation into the joy that is life and a vision of what life can be.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Stan’s life will be held at a later date to be announced. Arrangements are entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
