ALMAS, Florence Marie (nee Langford) 1929 – 2018 Passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2018 at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of Ernest Henry Almas (deceased 2005), daughter of the late Reginald Beverly Langford and Etta Louise (Preston) Langford, and survived by her older sister, Nora Ackersviller. Dear mother of Aaron (Rosemary), Roseann (Brian Burch), Freda (Simon Zaia), Helen, Diann (Larry), Tim (Fiona), and Roger (Linda). And sadly missed by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Florence is reunited with her late brothers Norm and Stewart, and late sisters Marion MacPherson and Beatrice Ince.
She was born in Wiarton, ON during the depression. After living on a farm until she was 9, the family moved to Dundas, and later Hamilton. She was a loving mother and home keeper, highly involved in her children’s lives whose presence will be dearly missed.
Her family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue E. on Tuesday, October 23rd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.cresmountfennellchapel.com
