ANDREWS, Jean

ANDREWS, Jean

ANDREWS, Jean When people say there are no words, that is not our issue. For us, we have too many words. Beautiful, kind, generous, opinionated, strong. Fierce when she needed to be, yet loving to a fault. A light was lost when Jean Marie (Armstrong) Andrews closed her piercing blue eyes for the final time on January 13, 2019. It is a profound loss for all that had the privilege of knowing her. Jean’s daughters and grandchildren Shelly (Steve), Tracy, Melanie, Kayla, Kole, Kobi, Kwesi, Tommy, Scotia and Cash will miss her forever. Her partner Dennis and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends will cherish memories of her preparing special meals, playing guitar, singing, reading, working on crossword puzzles and the time she gave of herself.

Jean was an integral branch of a loyal family tree with its roots beginning in Nova Scotia. Growing up in an extensive family Jean is survived by her sisters; Doris (Caledonia NS) Rosanna (Barrie ON), brothers; Jimmy (Alliston ON) and Terry (Prince Rupert BC). Jean experienced the previous loss of her parents, Guy and Hilda Armstrong and siblings Robert, Charlie, Helen, Marilyn, Guy Jr., Carolyn, Gary and Danny.

Jean was the epitome of a classic matriarch. Family was everything to her and she taught us all to love, forgive, and to always speak our minds. Following her retirement after more than 30 years of hard work and dedication at Bonar/ Hood Packaging Jean enjoyed relaxing at her trailer. She will be remembered with love always.

A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, January 17th from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Casbah, 306 King St. W. Hamilton (Entrance on Queen Street) 905-741-7625.
