ANGELO CAPOZZI

ANGELO CAPOZZI

CAPOZZI, ANGELO We are sad to announce the loss of Angelo Capozzi who died on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Mary for 60 years; father of Joanne (Mike Davis), and John; grandfather of Olivia and Sophia. Brother of Titina Simone and the late Maria Andrilli. Uncle of Pietro, Ida, Pasquale, Patrizia, Anthony and Steven. Angelo immigrated to Canada from Puglia, Italy, arriving at Pier 21 in December of 1951, where he began forging a life in his new homeland which he wholeheartedly embraced.

Angelo enjoyed a long, engaging career with Primo Foods, beginning when the company was in its infancy and culminating in his achievement of the office of Vice President in charge of Manufacturing. He was instrumental in the development and growth of the corporation and derived great satisfaction from his work, as the company expanded far beyond early expectations. That journey brought a breadth of experiences which enhanced and fulfilled him, as well as immense gratification, not only from his successes in business, but from the lasting friendships he formed over the years with many of his colleagues.

Throughout Angelo’s life, he was dedicated to his family. He enjoyed a close relationship with his wife, children and grandchildren whom he adored and nurtured. Angelo’s solid work ethic and tireless commitment to his endeavours throughout his life were legendary. Yet despite his business achievements and personal success, he always remained remarkably humble and kind. It was his manner that earned him the greatest respect and admiration of his family, friends, colleagues and associates. He was a true gentleman, with a remarkable generosity of spirit, making him a role model for so many.

A venerable man, so deeply loved, who will be missed, but remembered fondly for having enriched the lives of so many he touched. A private ceremony will be held. Donations may be made in memoriam to MacKenzie Health – Palliative Care, Sunnybrook Foundation – Odette Cancer Centre or the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
