Angelo Lombardi passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 2, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 92 years.
Angelo was predeceased by his beloved wife Assunta (nee Martini), his daughter Loredana, his parents Teresa and Antonio, and his brothers Luigi and Arduino. He was the loving father of Gitana Filippetto and Loretana Lombardi (Leslie Bell). Cherished Nonno of Stefanie (Jerry), Pamela (Barry), Sonia, Angela (Misho) and Arjun (Jill) and Bis Nonno of Arianna, Isaac and Dante. Loving brother of Giovanni (Mary), Giuseppina and Anna.
Born in Ceprano, Frosinone, Italy, Angelo immigrated to Canada with his family in 1957. As a husband, father and uncle, he worked hard to place firm roots in Toronto, while maintaining close connections to family and friends in Italy. For more than 50 years, his charming smile and friendly nature was a fixture on the front porch of his home on Melville Ave.
Angelo will be forever loved and deeply missed and remembered by all of his family and friends in Canada and in Italy.
Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Thursday, April 4th from 2-4pm & 6-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 5, at 10:00am at St. Clare’s Catholic Church, 1118 St. Clair Ave. W. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd.
