ARFUSO, Giuseppe March 25 1932 – October 8 2018 As he would have wanted it to be with his wife, daughters and sons-in-law by his side; after 86 years of a life well lived “Joe” is resting now in peace. He was a dedicated husband to Imperia (nee Maceri) for 47 years. Proud father to Carmela (Matt) Merla and Daniella (Paul) Di Tomaso. Cherished grandfather of Michaela, Serena, Alessia and Franco. Survived by his sister Catarina (Domenico) Polimeni, his brothers Leonardo (Vincenza) Arfuso and Vincenzo (Vincenza) Arfuso. Predeceased by his mother Carmela, father Vincenzo, brother Rocco and sister Vincenza (Francesco). Loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews here in Canada, Italy and Enza, Jason, Anthony and Gianna Masiero from the USA.
Blessed with many precious friendships and special relationships he had with John and Rosa Merla and his caregiver Lolita Ramirez; we are forever thankful for the love and care he received. A special thanks to Stacey Baird from Hamilton Health Sciences and Nurses Brianne and Darcy from Jurvanski for their care and support during his final hours.
He may now return to singing, dancing, playing cards and of course enjoying a good meal. We are certain he has put on a suit and tie and is singing “When the Moon Hits Your Eye … That’s Amore!
