BAIRD, Mary Ellen (nee Baulcomb) Peacefully at the Bob Kemp Hospice, with the love of her family by her side and after a very short but extremely courageous battle, Mary Ellen passed away at the age of 72.
Beloved and cherished wife to Logan. Tremendously loved and incredibly loving mom to Adam, Matthew and Danika (Robert). Very special nanna to her sweet Thema. Dear sister to David (Patricia) Baulcomb. Loved aunt to Andrew (Ciara) and Dylan, and Allison (Justin) and Blake. She will be deeply missed by all of her wonderful friends and her two fur babies, Moxi and Molly. She is predeceased by her beautiful son Stephen and by her parents Norman and Adella Baulcomb.
Mary Ellen started working as a bank teller at the Royal Bank. Her true passion though was children, which led her to become an Educational Assistant with the HWDSB for the remainder of her working career, specifically with special needs children. She was and incredible woman with a zest for life and a heart of gold.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our family and friends for all of the support and love during this extremely difficult time. Special thanks to all the staff at the Bob Kemp Hospice, Dr. Jalali, Dr. Nasri, Dr. Row and the Nursing staff on B3 and E3 at the Juravinski Hospital for treating her with dignity, respect and giving her exceptional care. We are forever grateful.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave E., Hamilton. A funeral service will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 12 p.m. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, 700 Spring Gardens Rd., Burlington.
