BLASKO, Barbara October 23, 2018 Peacefully, with her family by her side.
Born May 24, 1948. After meeting her husband Jim on a canoe trip in University, they backpacked through Europe and married in 1975. Together for 43 years, they created a life full of family adventures – skiing big mountains, snowshoeing, sailing on brisk winds and scuba diving under the Georgian Bay ice.
Barbara made the most out of every moment. A career as an English Teacher, she was dedicated to her family, education and reading. Oh how she read! With boundless warmth and energy, Barbara made a lasting impression on those who knew her and has left this world a brighter place.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Simple Alternative, 275 Lesmill Road, Toronto, 416-441-1580, on Thursday, November 8, 2018 commencing at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
