BROWN, Mary Teresa We celebrate the life and mourn the passing of a wonderful woman, Mary Teresa Brown, who in her 90th year, passed on October, 24 at Carpenter Hospice (Burlington).

She was a loving wife to Reg for 69 exceptional years, devoted mother to Carol Ann (Tony Theriault, 2009), Gary, Mark (Susan Brown), and cherished Nanny to seven grand- children and one great-grandchild: Rob and Sarah Nicholson and family, David, Sarah and great-grandchild Jack Nicholson, Sasha (Jordan), Danielle and Lisa Brown, James and Samantha Brown.

Teresa was one of 11 siblings born to David and Frances LeBlanc on December 7, 1928 in Inverness, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. After making her way to settle in Toronto, she married Reg in 1949. The family has resided in Flamborough (Hamilton) for the last 58 years.

Teresa will be remembered for her extreme kindness, giving nature, and the helping hand she would extend to anyone she met. Her life was full of family – too many nieces and nephews to mention here – but they know who they are and how much she loved them, along with many life-long friends she truly valued.

The family would like to express heir sincere gratitude to Carpenter Hospice for their care and compassion in Teresa’s final days.

According to her wishes, there will be no funeral service to be held. In remembrance of our loving mother, please consider a donation to Carpenter Hospice.
