CARBONE, Odessa Nunziata With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Odessa Carbone on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late Antonio (2012), for 61 years. Loving mother of Mario and Rosabla Carbone. Cara nonna of Christina and David Falletta, Robert and Serina Carbone, Melinda and Jason Dachuk, and Stephanie and Luciano Reda. Precious bisnonna of Gemma, Alyssa and Adrian Falletta, Robert Carbone Jr. and Gabriella and Anthony Reda. Predeceased by her parents Cesidio and Lucia DiLoreto, and in-laws Michele and Maria Carbone. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Maria Pia and Mario Antonucci, Romualdo (late) and Lina DiLoreto, Elena and Carmine (late) Petrella, the late Luigino and Flavia DiLoreto, Angela and Pasquale Sclocco, the late Franca and Duilio Acciaroli, the late Berardino and Domenica Delise, Gino and Annamaria Carbone, all of Italy. Odessa will also be lovingly remembered by Marylee Carbone and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
Born in Pratola Peligna, Italy, Odessa and Antonio married and moved their young family to Canada and began a new life built on faith and hard work. She carried these values her entire life through her devotion to the church, her love for her grandchildren and her passion for her garden.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bob and the nurses and staff of Pine Villa for their compassionate and loving care. The thoughtfulness and respect shown to Odessa during her time there will be forever appreciated.
Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East, on Sunday, March 10th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 165 Prospect Street North (at Barton), on Monday, March 11th at 10 a.m.
