FERNANDES, CARMEN It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of our dear mother Carmen Fernandes on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Humber River Regional Hospital.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Boniface Fernandes and her son Honourable Justice Ivan Fernandes. Mother to Alan (Rosemary), Brian (Julie), Vernon (Mary) and loving grandmother (Nana) to Kevin, Colleen, Carly, Victoria, Johanna and Eric. Carmen was loved by family and friends for her spirit of generosity, kindness to all she met and a zest for life. She will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Village of Humber Heights who gave her great joy and support during the past three years. The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Rd. E. (west of Bayview Ave.) from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29th.
A Catholic mass of burial will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:45 a.m. with interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge St., Thornhill).
If you so desire, a donation in her name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
