COOMBS, Maurice Walter It is with sadness that the family of Maurice Coombs announces his passing on April 1, 2019 at Shalom Village at the age of 89 years.
Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Georgina (nee Lunman); his sons Mark (Heather) and Shawn (Lisa); and his grandsons Spencer and Ryan. He also leaves behind three of his siblings, Maureen, Helene and Jacquie. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Annie.
Maurice’s second home was on the water on his boat in Florida with his “fishing buddies”. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed playing with his grandsons, watching Fox News and monitoring the stock market.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Shalom Village for their care and compassion.
A Celebration of Maurice’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, 378 Wilson Street East, Ancaster with a reception to follow. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shalom Village or to a charity of your choice.
