DENISE MARIE-THERESE ANTOINETTE SEUNIK

SEUNIK, DENISE MARIE-THÉRÈSE ANTOINETTE (nee CHAMPAGNE) Age 79, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, September 3 2018.

Denise is survived by son Pierre, his wife Lézanne, their children Max and Emily, daughter Nathalie and her son Andrew, and daughter Heidi, her husband Andrew and their children Bianca, Ainsley and Marcus. Denise was born on December 27, 1938 in Ramore, Ontario, to Thérèse Leduc and Albert Champagne. Growing up as one of five children, Denise is survived by her brother Denis and sister Claudette. In 1959, Denise married Max Seunik with whom she would raise three children. Spending many years moving across Canada, Denise taught sewing in her home – fashioning beautiful garments for her children and later her grandchildren.

After settling in Woodbridge in 1979, she began a career at Air Canada that would allow her to see the world. In 1992, she became a devoted grand-maman, proudly going on to play a central role in the lives of her six grandchildren. After retiring, Denise found great meaning in volunteering at Trillium Hospital. Denise will be remembered by many for her open door policy to the children of neighbours and friends, extravagant summer parties, famous carrot cake, love for her cottage, and for her lovely green eyes.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Cawthra Gardens who lovingly cared for Denise in her final years – and especially to Loni, her reliable caregiver and trusted friend.

A final gros bisou! to Denise: devoted mother, grand- maman and friend.
