DiDIODATO, Berardino It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Berardino, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Surrounded by the love of his family, he has now joined his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Berardino was a compassionate, loving and courageous man whose focus throughout his 91 years revolved around his family, work and friends. Berardino proudly worked at Stelco for 25 years before his retirement in 1992. He was a skilled handyman and his passions were cycling, gardening and traveling.

Predeceased by his beautiful and loving wife, Olga (2014). Cherished father of Rosemary and Conrad (Maria). Loving and proud grandpa of Jasmine Joseph (Justin) and Hassan Baig. His grandchildren were his pride and joy whom he loved immensely. Cherished brother to Benito DiDiodato and Marianina D’Andreamatteo. Predeceased by his parents Diodato and Maria DiDiodato and his brothers Marino and Bruno. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family wishes to thank the caring and compassionate nurses and staff of St. Peter’s Hospital. They would also like to thank Dr. A. Selbie and Dr. B.J. Leong.

Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 3- 5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 12 noon. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
