DUFFY, Bernadette January 29, 1934 – October 14, 2018 Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, October 14, 2018, Bernadette, affectionately known by her family as “Bubba” in her 85th year. Beloved aunt of Phil Duffy and Karen Wilson, Paul Duffy and Marta Mitton. Dear great-aunt of Shannon (John) Duffy, Carrie (Mark) Corsini, Leigh (Rick) Duffy, Matthew Duffy and Aaron Duffy, and proud great-great-aunt of Madeline, Kieran, Myles, Alexandra, Philip, Harper and James. Predeceased by her parents, Ann and Joseph Duffy, and by four sisters and two brothers.
Bernadette was a lifelong member of St. Ann’s Parish in Hamilton and the recipient of the Diocesan Medal of Honour for her efforts on behalf of St. Ann’s Parish.
Visitation will be held at the St. John the Baptist Church, 128 Edgemont Street South, on Thursday, October 18th from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial to take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family gratefully acknowledges the care and attention given to Bernadette by the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and her dear friend Sharon McManus.
