Elizabeth and Imre BOROCZI

BOROCZI, Elizabeth and Imre It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Boroczi and Imre Boroczi. On July 6, 2020, Elizabeth, in her 87th year, passed peacefully surrounded by her most cherished joys in life, her daughters. On December 18, 2020, in his 94th year, surrounded by his loving family, Imre joined his beloved wife in heaven. They are remembered and celebrated by their daughters Betty Gironda (John) and Diane Boroczi Seymour (Richard).

Their open arms and warm smiles will be missed by their grandchildren Nicole (Ryan), Nadia (Chris), Gabrielle, Darilyn and Madison. Super grandma and grandpa will always be remembered as legends by their great-grandsons Oliver and Leo. In 1956, Imre and Elizabeth immigrated from Hungary to Canada to start a new life together.

Imre, with his hard work and strong mind alongside Elizabeth’s passion started their family business. They soon welcomed their daughters into the world and in the years to follow this beautiful family continued to grow strong, resilient women who carry on their legacy of family values. They were both devoted parents and grandparents, and are mourned by their relatives and dear friends in Markham, Ontario, their second family home in Florida, and their native Hungary.

In life they were dedicated to tending gardens and creating a family home where everyone was welcome. They will always be remembered for how they fed us and helped us grow. While the state of the world makes it difficult to gather, commemorations can best be served by donations to Matthew’s House Hospice in Alliston, Ontario for their compassionate care, and the Canadian Cancer Society to help understand the fight against the disease that took them both. A celebration of their lives will follow when it is safe for us to gather and commemorate together.
