Liz passed away peacefully at age 81 in the presence of her family after a lifetime of courageous battles with bipolar disorder and dementia. Liz will be forever missed by her husband of 58 years Alan, daughter Alisa (David), son Keith, and granddaughters Emily and Erin.
She’ll be fondly remembered by brothers Harry (Barbara, deceased) and Ted (Carol), seven nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. She was predeceased by mother Audrey and father George.
Liz’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the many doctors, nurses and others who cared for her at Joseph Brant Hospital, Juravinski Hospital and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Finally, special thanks are in order for the devotion of Dr Luthra, Dr Noad, Dr Douglas and the countless nurses, PSWs and administrators affiliated with The Meadows Long Term Care Home in Ancaster who cared for Liz in her final years.
A celebration of Liz’s life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to First-Pilgrim United Church and Alzheimer Society of Canada.
