ETHEL ESTELLA TOMLINSON

ETHEL ESTELLA TOMLINSON

TOMLINSON, ETHEL ESTELLA After a long and happy life, encompassing four generations, Ethel Tomlinson (nee Stone), passed away peacefully at Providence Healthcare, on March 8, 2021, at the age of 103. Predeceased by Allan, her beloved husband of 65 years; her parents, Harry and Gertrude Stone, brother, Harry Stone (Margaret), and dear niece, Catherine.

Born May 18, 1918, in Toronto, Ethel will be forever missed by her daughters, Susan Lewis (David), Judith MacKay (Kenneth), niece, Linda Hodd (Stephen) and special neighbour, Bev Dodds. A devoted grandmother to Amanda Robertson (Ian), Zachary MacKay (Laura), Alex Lewis (Kelly), Stephanie Hall (Seb) and eight great-grandchildren. Ethel was actively involved with her church, especially Couples Club at Kew Beach United. She curled, bowled and played many hours of bridge.

Mom and Dad loved to travel and did so extensively in their retirement years. Mom cherished family celebrations and summers at the cottage in Haliburton more than anything. Swimming lessons, water ski instruction and sitting down to family meals with all her children were treasured parts of her life.

Many thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Providence and those who cared for Mom in her home, especially her dear Paula. Details of a Celebration of Life to be announced on this web site.
