SAMEK, Eugene Walter “Gene” Passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Mackenzie Health, Richmond Hill, ON.
Beloved husband of the late Hilda Samek (Starcok). Loving father of David, Michael (Sherri) and Mark. Dear Grandfather of Rebecca, Ryan, Matthew and Amanda. Gene was a career train engineer, working 45 years between CN Rail and Via Rail of Canada. He was an avid fan of all sports, especially football, hockey and boxing. Most of all he loved his family. By his wish, cremation has taken place.
There will be a memorial visitation at R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (south of Steeles Ave.) on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Online tributes at www.rskane.ca
