FURTADO, Joaquim Teves Heaven gained a beautiful Angel on Sunday, March 24, 2019, Joaquim Furtado at the age of 92 years.
Beloved husband of the late Maria José (2016). Compassionate and loving father of Grace (Lino) Medeiros, Emmanuel (Isabel) Furtado, Mary (Joe) Raposo, John Furtado, Tony Furtado and Allie (Gerry) VanDyk. Cherished Vavô to Melissa (Jeff) Silva, Adam (Nina) Medeiros, Olivia Furtado, Phillip Furtado, Cassandra Furtado, Joey (Rita) Raposo, Jeanine (Brian) Silva, Julia Raposo, Stephanie VanDyk, Alexandra VanDyk and Simon VanDyk. Smiling down on his great- grandchildren; Scarlet, Tristan, Liam and Caleb Silva, Jaxon Furtado, Milenna and Romina Raposo, Ava and Ella Silva. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME ‘William J. Markey Chapel’ 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton (905-574-0405) on Wednesday, March 27th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Vigil prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek on Thursday, March 28th at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery, Stoney Creek.
