PATCHELL, GEOFFREY ANDREW Passed away peacefully after an unexpected illness, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
Geoff Patchell of Mount St. Louis, in his 39th year. Dear Son of Greg and Laurie Patchell. Brother of Sean Patchell (Stephanie). Proud Uncle of Charlie and Evy. Cherished Grandson of Muriel (late Dr. Douglas) Patchell and the late Chuck (Isabel) Aspinwall. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his many Uncles, Aunts, Friends and Colleagues.
Geoff impacted the lives of many through his loyal service to his community. He was a devoted Training Officer at Station 6 Fire Department in Oro Medonte, a cherished employee at Mount St. Louis Resort, a spirited player on many hockey rinks and an eager volunteer for Camp Ooch, where he organized the charity hockey game “Battle of the Badges” for many years. He treasured his times and the beautiful sunsets at Woodland Beach, this was his “happy place” and he will be deeply missed by his family there. The local community has lost a great hero and true friend.
Visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Patrick’s Church (1600 Flos Rd. 4 W., Phelpston, ON), on Saturday, January 19th at 11:30 am. A reception will follow at the Mount St. Louis Ski Resort (24 Mt. St. Louis Rd. W., Coldwater, ON) from 1:00-3:30 p.m. in the Blue Room. Cremation with a Spring interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Phelpston.
