ANDREWS, George Alexander Peacefully on December 9, 2020 at Niagara Health – Welland Site. George operated McDougall & Browns Funeral Home in Toronto for many years. Later with his beloved wife Peggy, they founded Andrews Community Funeral Centre, Brampton.
George was active in his community, a President of Guaranteed Funeral Deposits of Ontario, a member of Ashbridges Bay Sailing Club, lifetime member of Brampton Golf Club and in his retirement continued to hone his photography skills. George was the loving Father to Marc and his husband Sander and John and his wife Laura. Cherished Grandpa to Delaney and Mackenna. Dear Brother to Nancy and her late husband Archie McInnes and Lynda and her husband Terry Baines.
Dear Uncle to Kara-Lynne McInnes Lowe, Paul McInnes, Sarah Baines McKay and Katie Baines Minty. Due to Covid, a celebration of George’s life will be held at a later time. George’s funeral will be a private family ceremony in Collingwood, where generations of Andrews have been laid to rest. Donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.
