ALMOND, HONORINE (RONNIE) Passed away peacefully on June 12, 2018, at the age of 96.
Beloved wife of the late Terry, loving mother of Margot, doting mother-in-law to Tim, and proud grandmother of Matthew. Ronnie will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Greece, England and the USA.
Ronnie was born in Istanbul, Turkey, to Greek parents, and later moved to Athens. She married Terry in 1948, moving first to England, then to Montreal where Ronnie taught English as a second language. In 1978, Ronnie and her family moved to Willowdale, Ontario where she taught French.
In 2004, Ronnie moved to Fairways in Mississauga where she enjoyed time spent with her many friends. Ronnie’s last 18 months were spent in care at Beechwood Court retirement home.
Visitation at Turner & Porter, 2180 Hurontario, Mississauga, on Sunday, June 17th from 2:00-3:30 and 7:30-9:00 p.m..
Funeral at St. Dominic’s, 625 Atwater Ave, Mississauga, on Tuesday, June 19th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
