HANCOCK, Ilean Yvonne Peacefully, on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Georgetown Hospital. Ilean, in her 83rd year, wife of the late John Hancock (2009). Ilean was predeceased by her parents Birdie (nee Scott) and William Shelbourne.
Ilean was predeceased by her sisters Bertha, Diana, Dorothy, and Helen. Ilean will be fondly remembered by her nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, 905-877-3631, on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. Spring interment Union Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Limehouse Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 30 people are permitted to be in the funeral home on Thursday for each one half hour visitation time period and only 50 people are permitted to be in the funeral home on Friday for the funeral service ceremony
