MEGLY, JAN FRANCES (nee SIMPSON) Peacefully passed away, with her loving family by her side, after a battle with vascular dementia at the age of 66.
Jan is survived by her husband Daniel Megly and 3 daughters, Ashley, Kimberley, Jessica and husband Paul; by her brother Bill Simpson and wife Wendy; by her step-mother Edwina and her extended families both in the UK and France and by her many close friends, nieces and nephews that she absolutely treasured, in whose lives, she played such a loving role.
Jan had a special way of connecting us all and touching the hearts and minds of so many people. She selflessly kept us all entertained and nurtured around the family table – she will be forever missed.
A celebration of Jan’s life will be held on Sunday, November 11th between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 7 Glencairn Avenue.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Sunnybrook Bayview and Sunnybrook Holland Centre for their loving care for Jan in her last 6 months.
In lieu of flowers, to honour Jan’s memory, donations dedicated to Jan Megly would be gratefully received to Sunnybrook Foundation, to support stroke research.
