WOLOVIEC – John Gérard. Born May 27, 1939. Died October 4, 2018. Beloved husband of Elizabeth, loving father to Gérard and David, cherished Pépère to Emerson, Scarlette, Madelaine and Abigail. John was born in Laon, France where he spent most of his childhood years. He came to Canada in 1956 at the age of 17 and became a Canadian citizen in 1963. John loved the Muskoka region and spent much of his early career developing cottage properties there, before moving into commercial real estate. John adored his children and grandchildren – and found great joy in playing games, decorating Easter eggs, and regaling them with stories.
Funeral services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway, Aurora. Visitation on Thursday, October 11th 6-8pm. Funeral ceremony on Friday, October 12th at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Arthritis Society www.arthritis.ca.
