Loving husband of his best friend Donna. Son of the late George Sanderson and Eva (Rocheford). Cherished father of Rob (Mary) and Wendy (Patrick Morris). Beloved brother of Marilyn (Tim Lumsden). Dearest Grampa/ Poppa to Bill (Fiona), Bryan and Emily, Sarah, Bradley, Erin and Ryan.
John’s passions included his family and many friends; golf, hockey, tennis and always winning at cribbage; great history debates and conversations at the cottage at Four Mile Lake and at Pine Lakes (Ft. Myers); his memorable moments at Bishop’s University; his proud careers as a highly respected Chartered Accountant and his prominent role as Head of Business at Sir John A. Macdonald High School in Scarborough and the Faculty of Education at the University of Toronto.
Celebration of Life will be held at W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria St. E., Alliston, L9R 1V6, on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11 am.
