It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Joe Warner at Sunnybrook Veterans L Wing on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 95.
Loving husband to Barbara Lewis Warner and the late Sarah Warner. Devoted and loving father to Ron (Tom) and Dan (Li Chai) and step-father to Michelle Lewis and Suzanne Lewis (Thomas). Proud grandfather to Amanda and Joshua, and step-grandfather to Zachary, Jake, Hayley, Evie and Vaughn.
Joe will be fondly remembered for his service in the RCAF during World War II as well as volunteering as a soldier in 1948 fighting for the state of Israel. A consummate storyteller and joke teller, Joe will be missed by all and will forever live on in our hearts.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Sunnybrook’s L Wing for their great care. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private family arrangements will take place. Donations in Joe’s memory can be made to Beit Halochem Canada which was near to his heart, 905-695-0611.
