KNUCKLE, Robert GordonĀ On Sunday, March 3, 2019 Robert Knuckle, in his 85th year, surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren – after a wonderful life, he left us.

He leaves behind his remarkable wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (nee Myles), his cherished sisters Cathy (Grant) and Patricia, his children Richard (Leanne), Laura (Bob), Mark (Laura), Kelly (Brad) and his greatest love, (next to his wife) his grandchildren Lakota, McKinley, Geneva, Alex, Sam, Joe, and Vivi. Bob touched the hearts and minds of many people in Hamilton and Windsor, Ontario.

As a teacher/vice-principal, farmer, football and basketball coach, winner of many city championships, founder and organizer of The Silver Fox Basketball Tournament, Assistant Coach of the McMaster Marauders, Hamilton Skyhawks’ General Manager, musician, actor, playwright, author, he took one of his plays to the Edinburgh Festival, authored a number of books, and was a prolific public speaker. He will be deeply missed by a vast network of people and countless close friends – of great condolence to us at this difficult time. Thank you for your kind, heartfelt words, memories and for being an important part of his life.

The church service and Celebration of Bob’s Life will take place at a later date.

In his honour, any donations may be directed to Sick Kids’ Hospital, McMaster Children’s Hospital (neonatal unit) or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
