LACENTRA, Antonio It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Lacentra, on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, in his 87th year.
Loving husband of the late Olga Lacentra of 48 years. Devoted father to John and his wife Diana (Chiaravalle). Cherished Nonno of Isabella and Gabriella. Dear brother of Nicola and the late Sebastiana Lacentra, and sister of Graziella Lacentra (Nicola), Italy. Dear brother-in-law of Orazio and the late Nicolina Maiuri, and Natale and the late Elena Maiuri. Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Lucia Lacentra of Milan, Italy. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Antonio was a skilled master craftsman and a woodworking artisan. He was a loved and respected father, Nonno and Zio. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at General Hospital for their care and compassion.
Visitation will take place at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL , 43 Barton St. E., Hamilton, ON, on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, October 26, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 165 Prospect Street N, Hamilton, ON L8L 6X8. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
