LOVEDAY, LEDA VERA (nee WELYKOPOLSKY) (Retired Social Worker, City of Ottawa) Peacefully at the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice, on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 67 years.
Daughter of the late Julia and Jerry Welykopolsky. Beloved wife of Peter Loveday for 45 years and devoted mother of Alexander. Dear sister of Luba Zisser (Helmut) and aunt of Julia, Katharine and Patrick. Sister-in-law of Robert Loveday (Rachelle) and sadly missed by her nephews, Noah, Aaron, Isaac and Jonathan (Stephanie).
The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), Ottawa, on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Panachyda in the Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Shrine, 952 Green Valley Crescent, Ottawa. Entombment Hope Cemetery. A light lunch will be served at the cemetery after the entombment.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Cancer Unit or the Dialysis Unit or to the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice would be appreciated.
