LEMKE, Robert F.

LEMKE, Robert F. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful man, Bob, on January 9, 2019 in his 70th year.

Beloved husband of 45 years to Joanne (nee Day) and loving father of Daniel James. Bob is also survived by his devoted brother Ken (Jane) and sister Debbie (Bill). Predeceased by his parents Mary and William Lemke and brother Gary. He will be greatly missed by his many in-laws, Dan (Bev), Terry, Nancy, Randy, Keith (Linda), Patricia and Charlene (John). Predeceased by his brother-in-law Michael and his mother and father-in-law Ida and Garfield. Uncle Bob loved and was dearly loved in return by his many nieces, nephews. He will be forever in the hearts of his best friends Robert and Margie and Tom and Rosalind and all his friends and colleagues.

Bob retired from Hendrickson Spring in Stratford, ON where he worked as an Electronics Technologist Electrician, and although he loved being retired he was never one to be idle, he went to work part time at Lowes in Ancaster, ON in the electrical department where he would talk parts and project ideas with anyone who needed help.

Bob had many hobbies in his lifetime, from model trains to photography to his holiday light and sound show. Come Christmas time, he would build his own set around his home in Seaforth, ON using thousands of lights, decorations and music, but his most favoured calling was hunting. He was an avid outdoorsman. He created his own web page, CanadaHunts.ca where he would talk to many across Canada about their passion for the great outdoors.

He lived his life to the fullest, always learning something new and making every moment count with the people he loved. We were so very lucky to have been a part of his journey.

A Celebration of Life is being held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Pioneer Memorial United Church, 1974 King Street East Hamilton, ON.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request a donation be made to a charity of your choice.
