BODEN, Marlene It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Boden, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters Britnay Hodge and Hailey Boden and spouse Scott Gray on January 22, 2018 while in the care of Hospice Simcoe, after a two year battle with cancer. Marlene Michelle (McLeod) Boden was born August 30, 1966 in Kincardine, Ontario and later moved to the Simcoe area in 1987 where she started her career at Honda of Canada Manufacturing and worked for almost 30 years. Marlene is survived by her father Harvey McLeod and mother Gladys (Vance) McLeod of Kincardine, Ontario. Marlene is the little sister to the following: Dianne (McLeod) Von Hatten, Connie Prosser (Hugo), Bette Haag (Frank) and Myrna Rupik (Greg).
She will be dearly missed by all her family and nieces and nephews, as we move forward in life.
Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., in Barrie on Friday, January 26th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place the following day, Saturday, January 27th in the chapel of the funeral home starting at 3 p.m. Visitation from 2 p.m. A reception at the funeral home will follow.
