MARY ADELIA COMEAU

COMEAU, MARY ADELIA (nee HENNESSEY) Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Delphis Comeau (March 3, 2017).

Loving mother of Debbie Narr, Gail Lindsay (Paul), Joanne Ferguson, David (Kathy) and Gary (Raye Ann). Predeceased by her parents Eugene and Myrtle (McDowell) Hennessey, her three sisters Margerite Hatt (Stanley), Bernice Seelye (Merchie) and Anne Garvin (Ralph), her three brothers Burton, John and Frederik, her son-in-law Kurt, and two grandsons Joseph Day and Jesse Frederick Comeau.

Will be lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her brother Eugene, along with extended family and friends. Mary was born on October 16, 1933 in Blacks Harbour, NB. She and Del then moved to Oakville to make it their home and raise their family. Mary enjoyed working at Canada Post in Oakville where she served customers with a friendly smile and warm greeting. Mary and Del enjoyed winter retirement in Florida for 24 years and summers at their home on Sandlewood Road with an open-door policy where everyone was warmly welcomed.

Mary had a great sense of humour that friends and family will miss. Mary’s family would like to thank the staff at OTMH and granddaughter Cindy Ramos for their exceptional care during this past week.

Visitation will take place at Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville on Tuesday, June 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street in Oakville on Wednesday, June 27th at 10 a.m.
