McCONACHIE, Joan Agnes (nee Hastie)Suddenly at the age of 72, on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington.
Loving wife of Ray for 54 years. Devoted mother of Dave and Al. Cherished Grandmother of Kelsey, Brodie, Breanne, and Madison. Dear sister of Bob (Linda) Hastie, Donna (Joe) McKenna, Barb (Rod) Stott, and sister-in-law of Don McConachie. she will be fondly remembered by her neices and nephews.
Joan was a longtime active member of Freelton United Church where she served on the UCW and belonged to the former Freelton Ladies Club for over fifty years.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME , 146 Mill Street N., Waterdown, where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment, Carmel Cemetery. A reception will be held at Freelton United Church.
In Joan’s memory donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
