MCKENZIE, Vera With heavy hearts, the family of Vera McKenzie announces her passing on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in her 95th year.
Predeceased by her husband, Malcolm. Cherished mother to Margaret and Susan (Bill). Proud grandmother to Scott (Tricia), Kate (Alistair) and Liz (Jim). Loving sister-in-law and friend to Audrey Jeanne Simpson. Mom’s greatest happiness was her family. Her great- grandchildren Sammi, Luke, Milo, Liam, Emilia and Jacob were her joy. She will also be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed her neighbours, her “Bank Girls”, her “Birthday Buddies” and her euchre friends.
Cremation has taken place.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Juravinski 3F for their kindness. Mom touched many lives with her caregiving nature.
Because of her love of animals, donations to the Hamilton-Wentworth SPCA would be appreciated in her memory, in lieu of flowers.
