MEMMOLO, Fedele Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the age of 85.

Beloved husband of Filomena (Iannitelli) for 57 years, loving father to Pasquale and Bruno, and cherished Nonno to his granddaughter Amanda. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Pietro and Rosa Memmolo, Lucia Vecchi, Pasqualina Ciallella, Antonio Iannitelli, and Celeste Iannitelli of Canada, Concetta Memmolo, Teresa Memmolo and Maria Iannitelli of Italy. Predeceased by brothers, sister, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Domenico Memmolo, Luigi Memmolo, Mario and Rosa Memmolo, Genesio and Maria Rosina Memmolo, Anna and Paolo Bozzo, Pasquale Vecchi, Sebastiano Iannitelli, Antonio Ciallella and Liberato Iannitelli. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins from Canada and Italy.

Born May 25, 1933 in Mirabella Eclano (Avellino) Italy, Fedele left his hometown and immigrated to Venezuela and Canada in search of a better life. He eventually met his wife Filomena and raised a family in Hamilton. He worked over the years in construction and in hydro. Fedele also did what he could to help his siblings and extended family through his generosity and kindness. His humour and quick wit brought laughter to many. He loved life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. As his health declined, he turned to his faith and put his trust in the Lord.

The family wishes to thank the care and attention provided by the ICU team at Juravinski Hospital.

Visitation will be at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL , 43 Barton Street East (near James Street) on Friday, November 16th from 5 – 9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of All Souls Roman Catholic Church, 21 Barton Street West (near James Street) on Saturday, November 17th at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fedele may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
