Passed away peacefully, in the loving arms of her family, in her 91st year, on September 9, 2018.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Sava (2011). Cherished mother of Jovo (Marija), Nevenka (Bogosav), Nikica (Marija), Sava (Desa) and Branko (Jadranka). Loving and proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Born on July 18, 1928, in Ramljane, Dalmacija, she was the oldest of nine children; never averse to hard work, she guided her siblings and raised her family with love, care, and pride in difficult times. She will be missed by her siblings George Dobrich (Jevrosima), Marija Krstanovic (✟Jovo), Andja Dragicevic (✟Lazar), Djuja Krickic (Petar), and Mirko Dobrich (Rajna); predeceased by her brothers ✟Dusan Dobric (✟Djuka), ✟Petar Dobric (Milka), and (✟Dragan Dobrich (Beverly).
She will be missed by her large extended family, kumovi, prijatelji and friends in Canada, the US, Italy, and the former Yugoslavia. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the compassionate and loving care provided to “Baba” by the exemplary staff at Brant Centre Long Term Care over the past three years.
Visitation will be held at L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa Street N., Hamilton (905-544-1147) on Wednesday, September 12th from 5-9 p.m. with Pomen at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 153 Nash Road South, Hamilton on Thursday, September 13th at 10 a.m. with the Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating.
