Murray David Breward

Murray David Breward passed away suddenly but peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 19 at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket.

Murray will be deeply missed by: Rick (and Cher, and their children Trevor and Kristen), Lynn (and Steven, and their daughter Hannah), Peter (and Sari, and their children Coltyn and Brayden) and Shirley Williams.

Murray was born in East York, Ontario on November 30, 1962 to his parents Allan and Pearl Breward and grew up in Toronto.

Murray was a long time and well respected employee of the Law Society of Ontario, working in their IT department. He was a hard working individual who took his job very seriously and would go out of his way to please everyone. Murray loved computers and he was a Master in setting them up, fixing them and keeping them running smoothly. Murray also had many other talents including electronics which was dear to his heart and he started out as an electrician which he enjoyed and was very knowledgeable in. Murray was also an avid video gamer, and enjoyed movies, and music (especially Metallica and Frank Zappa which he grew up listening to). Murray also had a big heart of Gold and he was the nicest person you could ever meet or ever want to know.

All are invited to a celebration of Murray’s life on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road (south of Eglinton Avenue) in Scarborough, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Princess Margaret Research Institute.
