MUYLAERT, Alfred (Fred)

MUYLAERT, Alfred (Fred) It is with great sadness that the family of Fred Muylaert announce his passing on January 3, 2019 at the age of 80.

Fred will be greatly missed by his partner and beloved soulmate of 38 years, Sandy Jukes. He is survived and greatly loved by his daughters, Michelle Ruby and Karen Muylaert (Glen Marttila) and step-daughter Michelle Vacca. Adored and missed by his grandchildren Hannah and Evan Ruby and step-granddaughter, Samantha Vacca. He will also be missed by his dear friend, Michele Wood, wife of his best friend, the late Bob Wood.

Fred was a long-time sales representative for CKOC 1150 radio station in Hamilton and host of All That Jazz and Big Band Ballroom on K-Lite FM. He entertained thousands over many years as the drummer with the Al Borsellino Band.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Brantford General’s Critical Care Unit. To further the education of our great medical doctors of the future, Fred has donated the ultimate gift of his body to science at McMaster University Medical Centre.

There will be a small family and friends’ Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hamilton and District SPCA or an animal shelter of your choice.
