NISBET, James Alexander Passed away peacefully in Burlington on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of Joan Nisbet. Cherished father of Peggy LaVigne (Glenn) and Mary Johnstone (Larry). Proud grandfather of Joshua, Ashleigh, Alyssa, Vanessa and Preston, and great-grandfather of Greyson and River. Jim will be missed by his sisters Mary, Beth and Barbara as well as many extended family members and friends. Predeceased by his siblings Tom, Nan, Beverley and Alexander.
Jim enjoyed a successful teaching career with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. He was passionate about sports and was a member of the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club for 25 years.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m.
