Died on November 6, 2018 at Markham Stouffville Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Keelan), his son Brent (Sophie) and daughters Nicole (George) and Bronwyn (Eddie). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Caitlin, Lindsay, Patrick, Bridget, Ashley, Ryan, Danielle, Annie, Emmet, Neal and Cooper. Born in The Curragh, County Kildare, Ireland and raised in Navan, County Meath, Ireland.
His career encompassed working as a Manager at Eaton’s Shoppers’ World and College Street, then moving to Eaton’s Financial Services then rising to the position of Vice President for Laurentian Financial Services where he worked until his retirement in 1992. Patrick was ordained a Permanent Deacon in 1974 and served the Archdiocese as a mentor in the training program, as well as serving the Holy Spirit and Our Lady of Fatima parishes. He also was a regular contributor to CFRB Radio’s Moments of Meditation.
The family would like to thank all those who ministered to Pat during his illness.
The family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Thursday, November 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, 3170 St. Clair Ave. E., Scarborough (near Victoria Park Ave.), on Friday, November 16th at 10 a.m. There will be a reception in the church hall following the service. Interment to follow at Christ The King Cemetery.
