PERKINS, Edith Grace (nee Roberts)

PERKINS, Edith Grace (nee Roberts) Entered into the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Saviour on January 14, 2019, in her 88th year.

Grace was a devout and loving wife of Donald F. Perkins for 59 years. A gracious stay-at-home mom to Paul Perkins (Marylou) of Lindsay, Trish Triebner (Mike) of Woodstock, and Cathy Coolidge (James) of London. Grace was actively involved in her grandchildren’s lives; Amanda Fiddler (Chris), Darryl Triebner (Lindsey), Jessica Coolidge-Larmer (Joel), Katelyn Coolidge, Steven Perkins, Allycia Coolidge, and Jordan Triebner. Grace was great-grandma to Gracie and Carter Fiddler.

Grace spent most of her life mentoring other people. She was a faithful prayer warrior who never gave up praying, and believing that God would answer her prayers. Grace kept a prayer book where she had many names and prayer requests that she prayed for each day. She was a pastor’s wife, farmer’s wife, choir director, pianist, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Leader. She was a masterful cook, baker, and homemaker. No one could make a pie like hers. She sewed, knitted, crocheted, she loved crafts like cross-stitching, card making, and toll painting.

Grace was determined to have her family follow her in having a personal relationship with her Lord and Saviour and she was never afraid to love anyone who entered her life. Grace lived her life as though Christ was watching every move she made, and she brought much joy to her family and friends. Grace wanted everyone to share the joy she had with Jesus, and wanted everyone she met to come to know that with Jesus, there is hope for your life. There is no hope without Christ. Grace will be remembered by her godly living example of what she believed in her heart. She is now in Heaven with Jesus, she has her sense of smell and her eyesight back again.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) and Saturday, January 19th from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at West Highland Baptist Church at 1605 Garth Street, Hamilton.
