PUTNS, Andrew V. Born in Riga, Latvia, aged 79, passed away on February 28, 2019 peacefully at home with his daughter Lisa, his son Mark, and his son-in-law Puwanat by his side.
Loving husband and soulmate of the late Myrna B. Putns. Andrew was a retired vocational school teacher (Hamilton Board of Education), a talented athlete and a true gentleman. He was known for his patience, kindness and his gentle sense of humour. Andrew was our warrior, our hero. Despite all of the challenges he faced he remained true to himself, his smile lighting up our days, and lives.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful health care workers who helped Andrew and the family over the last few years.
A Memorial Service will be held at Stoney Creek Baptist church at 79 Collegiate Ave on March 31st at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of your choice.
