Rena passed away peacefully at home at the age of 97 on October 14, 2018. She was born of Italian immigrant parents and grew up in Toronto’s west end. She was an accomplished seamstress who kept her kids in style. Rena was a proud and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry Neglia, and leaves behind her children Doreen (Joe), Victor(Bonnie), Linda (David), Joanne (Frank) and Marian (Willy), grandchildren Marie (Gabriel), Ricky (Melanie), Franc and Russell, and great-grandchildren Matthew, Taylor, Gabrielle, Marcus, and Ava. Rena was pre-deceased by her siblings Dina Gaggi (Joe), Pamelina Gentili (Alessandro), Yolanda Lato (Ben), Orlando Fiorelli (Helen), and Luciano Fiorelli (Ann), and is survived by her sister in-law Rose Dockstader and her brother in-law Joe Neglia (Mima). She will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, Ontario on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Hearing Society would be appreciated.
