GIBSON, ROBERT ERNEST (BOB) Passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Terrace after a lengthy battle with dementia in his 81st year. Beloved husband to the Late Elizabeth (Betty) Gibson (2017). Dearest father to Shari (Bert) Vezeau and Lisa (Tony) Brijeski. Loving grandfather (G.G.) to Ellen (Scott), Laura, Allison, Megan, Michael, Brandon and Nicholas and great-grandfather to Bradley, Lillian, Evelyn and Mason. Fondly remembered by siblings Donald, Doris and Ralph. Predeceased by parents Melville and Jean and brother Douglas.
Bob had a long teaching career with the Toronto School Board. He also taught school overseas with D.N.D. in Germany, where he led the family on many adventures throughout Europe. While living in Germany Bob joined the Baden Rube Band and had so much fun and adventures with them including going to Egypt to play for the UN troops stationed there. Bob will always be remembered for his hearty laugh and infectious smile. Thank you to the whole caregiving team at St. Andrew’s Terrace for their excellent care.
