Roy Williams Burrows

BURROWS, Roy William On April 1, 2019 in his 78th year.

Roy is predeceased by his parents William Audry Burrows and Edith Jean Burrows (Emery). He is survived by his sister Elizabeth Muschette (Jack – deceased) and his brother David Burrows (Sophie). Roy also leaves behind his nephews William Muschette, John Muschette and Tim Burrows, as well as his nieces Margaret Muschette, Dorothy Muschette, Lauren Burrows-Backhouse (Gary) and Jill Burrows-Dadson (Mike).

Roy was a much-loved brother and uncle, an archer, a guitar player, a gifted golfer, a lawn bowler, a champion black powder shooter, an antique collector, an 1800’s historical author and a former vice chairman of the Joseph Brant Museum. Roy loved taking part in re-enactments and rendezvous for many years. Roy was a compassionate caring human. If he was your friend, it was for life.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Wentworth Room, Dundas Legion, Tuesday, April 16th from 2 – 5 p.m. A private interment will take place at a later date.
