RULLO, Antonio (Tony)

RULLO, Antonio (Tony) On Saturday, April 20th surrounded by his loving family, our father joined his beloved wife Teresa, onto eternal rest.

Left to mourn him are his children John (Anna), Guerino (Kathy), Rudy (Sharon), Mary (Ted) and Carlo (Laura) as well as his 12 grandchildren, Anthony (Amy), Michael (Jacqueline), Jacob (Amanda), Enrico, Jennifer, Mark (Alisha), Stephanie (Rob), Rudy (Laura), John Michael, Edward, Adam (Ellena) and Steven. He also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren and his sister Viola. Reunited with his parents, Giovanni and Maria-Giuseppe and siblings Giuseppe, Damiano, Francesco and Nazarena.

No stranger to hard work and with a sense of duty to provide for his family, Toto travelled from a very early age with his donkey Cardillo, across the Calabrian mountains selling his wares. That same work ethic served him well when he immigrated to Canada. It was here that he met his future wife and, together as a sign of their committed love for each other, raised five children. He worked feverishly to provide for his family, which he also staunchly protected. An avid reader himself, he encouraged in us the importance of education and perseverance.

Special thanks to his caregivers Cecilia and Evelyn, VON team, LHIN, Dr.Staibano, Fr. Francesco of St. Francis Xavier Church and Friscolanti Funeral Chapel.

Visitation at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E. (near James St.) on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass to be offered Thursday 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church 304 Hwy #8, Stoney Creek. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
