RUSSELL, John “Ian” 70, of Brevard, North Carolina, passed on March 26, 2019.
Loving husband of 22 years to Lauren Dickerson Russell. “Dad” to Erica Kelly and her fiance’ Ray Gurganious. Grandfather to William, Deanna, and Robert; and great-granddad to Serena, Carson, Adison and Jaxson. A native of Kelty, Scotland, son of the late John and Isabella Mills Russell. Brother to the late Annie Brown (Jim), Mary Ness (Bill), Ella Robertson, David Russell and brother-in-law Tom Simmons. Survived by his sister Helen “Lena” Simmons of Burlington, Ontario, and his sister-in-law Marlene Russell of Kelty. An engineer by trade, he enjoyed golf and fly fishing. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews in Scotland and Canada.
